Keith Joseph and the Tories Eugenicist Hatred of the Working Class

A very thoughtful piece from beastrabban which ties in Joseph to the 19th century eugenics movement. I came across Joseph in his Black Papers role in the 70’s when the improvements in primary education were halted and disgraced.
A nasty piece of work.

Keith Joseph Pic

Keith Joseph: Maggie’s mentor, and the man who thought there were too many poor people with retarded children. And they were breeding.

Yesterday I put up a piece about how the Tories really did have a visceral hatred of the working class, a hatred and desire to preserve the privileges and position of the ruling elite that confirmed Marx’s view that the state was the instrument of class oppression. One of the most venomous expressions of this hatred came from Keith Joseph. Joseph was Thatcher’s mentor in the Tory party, and an enthusiastic supporter of Milton Friedman’s monetarism and the Chilean dictator General Pinochet. Although he guided Thatcher and served in her cabinet, he never actually became prime minister himself because of a speech he made about the poor in 1974.

Joseph’s view was that there were too many of them, who were too poorly educated, breeding too young. Too…

Iain Duncan Smith’s portrait made from photos of people who died for being poor

Everything that can be done to keep alive the memory of those who have died under the DWP and in particular IDS needs to be done.
May they all rest in peace.

With thanks – and apologies – to Joe Wezorek:

Given this image’s inflammatory nature, I posted it with a great deal of trepidation. I had a hard time deciding if it was the right thing to do and I am still not sure. No, I didn’t have the consent of the families of those pictured, and I apologize for any additional pain that this image causes them.

Russia and Turkey’s gas deal can save Europe and the World

A fascinating and timely exposition of the background to the off-the-wall media responses. Worth pondering carefully, especially with Israel’s possible response which gives hope for the future.

Russia and Turkey’s Gas Deal can Save Europe and the World

old-english-calligraphy-alphabet-the status of South Stream and the newly announced Russia-Turkey gas deal is much more than it seems.  It is primarily about putting the brakes on what has slowly been developing into the next world war.

This new deal may also represent a serious culmination of Russian, Chinese, and Iranian efforts to realign the entire bandwidth between the Adriatic Sea and India.  This has ramifications not only for the EU, Bulgaria, and Turkey, but also Syria, Egypt, Israel, Iran, China and most of Latin America.  Its effects reach far beyond the scope of this report, and includes currency wars, and military alliances.

DWP Admin And Salaries Costs Nearly Twice The Dole: Sack The Managers And Save Us All A Fortune

Double the dole seems like the solution to me after sacking the bossy managers and the work programmes making everyone’s life a misery.
Can be done if we insist!

the void

atos-black-triangleThe DWP spent almost twice as much on salaries, welfare-to-work schemes and administration last year than they did on unemployment benefit.

The department’s latest six monthly report shows that £7.7 billion was spent on administration costs in 2013/14 compared to £4.3 billion on Jobseeker’s Allowance, othwerwise known as the dole.  In the current year administration spending is expected to hit £8 billion, whilst spending on JSA is forecast to fall to £3.7 billion as hundreds of thousands of people are bullied off benefits with sanctions and workfare.

The DWP is a big department, and this colossal spend also includes administration of pensions, sickness, housing and disability benefit spending.  But with around 750 Jobcentres around the UK and 78,000 employees, (according to The Guardian in 2010) it seems likely the biggest bulk of this spending goes on paying the salaries of Jobcentre busybodies and their happy clappy over-paid managers. …

Who pays the Price? The Human Cost of Electronics.

Absolutely heartbreaking.  Yet it would cost so little to use safer alternatives to benzene.

Please sure and support.  Perhaps we will have a far happier new year if we can stop the 200 million Chinese from having to work in slavery.
