I have no doubt the SSIRs have a lot to do with it – but look at the dates.
The coalition government under Cameron came in (2012) and the cuts really began to bite and pare away all the safety nets and services while the tightening of sanctioning and removal of DLA and other support was systematically reduced or completely removed.
There are a few brave people challenging the deaths and taking on the DWP but it is very, very tough.
The UN has written reports but they are just shrugged off by the government.
Where are the opposition when you need them?
