NHS Hospital in Tameside offers food parcels for Patients at risk of Malnutrition. Guardian

One needs to ask why food bank use has risen 1,665% since 2010?

All very fine to offer a food parcel but it’s not getting to the root of the problem.

Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham is on the right track by getting the community involved in growing food, planting orchards and having a Farmers’ Market so that people have access to good, nutritious food permanently.

Meanwhile the DWP has the cheek to put job advisors into food banks.
